Cleaning a Corner of the Soul

Industrial plastic and wood

The broom emerged from the basic function of cleaning and maintaining the individual, and later collective, space. It rapidly became an artifact loaded with spiritual connotations. Returning to this use and experience and with rounded forms as complete and pure symbols, I used  a broom ball to metaphorically establish the decision to become involved in an life of spiritual growth: literally sweeping the impurities of the road as we move forward; an unprejudiced awareness constructed in the way that children’s cognitive experiences are established, removing the stress and prejudices affecting the potential effectiveness of positive and harmonious decision-making.
