Wood from XVIII Century, water, soil,
stones and lamps
Estos ojos que se tragarán la tierra II is a cult of silence, a respect to the ancestral advice passed from generation to generation, and a tribute to my maternal great-grandmother who said, “There are certain secrets that we must keep until the end of our days; we must be serious about this”. This installation displays a group of holes and wooden beams that belong to buildings from former centuries in the Historical Center of Havana. A structure similar to Woodhenge was created with these elements, intended to resemble a place of worship or ancient ritual.
