Installation (variable dimensions)
The sea that faces our coast has a dimension that goes from the tragic to the playful. It is part of the Malecon landscape as a public space, but its use is almost exclusively contemplative. Transgressing this eventuality is the motivating reason for Arles del Rio. This installation is based on the functioning of the blood system: a pump draws water from the boardwalk and spreads it through hoses, nebulizers and irrigation guns.
As is customary in the work of this artist, the public is an integral part in the activation of the senses of the piece. All this operation, metaphorically involves a transfusion of energy, a kind of refreshing or / or reflection on the state of things that Cuban society lives.
